চট্টগ্রামের রাউজানের স্বেচ্ছাসেবী ও মানবকল্যাণ মূলক সংস্থা আলহাজ জসিম উদ্দিন ফাউন্ডেশনের উদ্যােগে নোয়াপাড়া ইউনিয়নের সামমাহালদার পাড়ায় এই ফাউন্ডেশনের অর্থায়নে প্রতিষ্ঠিত তাকওয়া জামে মসজিদে আজ শুক্রবার জুমার নামাজ শেষে মুসল্লীদের মাঝে বিতরণ করা হয় মৌসুমি ফল লিচু। একেকজন মুসল্লীর মাঝে ৫০ টি করে লিচু দেওয়া হয় এককটি প্যাকেটে। এরআগের জুমা নামাজ শেষে দেওয়া হয় কাঠাল ও আনারস। 

আলহাজ জসিম উদ্দিন ফাউন্ডেশনের সম্মানিত প্রতিষ্ঠাতা ও চেয়ারম্যান সংযুক্ত আরব আমিরাতের প্রবাসী ব্যবসায়ী জেআর রেসিডেন্স এন্ড ইউনুচ গ্রুপের চেয়ারম্যান আলহাজ জসিম উদ্দিন সাহেব গত একমাস ধরে মুসল্লীদের মাঝে মৌসুমী ফল বিতরণের এ উদ্যােগ নেন। প্রতি শুক্রবার তাঁর ফাউন্ডেশন থেকে  নিয়মিত মৌসুমী ফল বিতরণ করা হচ্ছে তাকওয়া মসজিদ মাঠে। 

অনেক মানুষ কিনে মৌসুমি ফল খেতে পারেন না। তাই জসিম উদ্দিন সাহেব ফাউন্ডেশন থেকে নিজ অর্থায়নে এ উদ্যাগে নেন বলে জানিয়েছে ফাউন্ডেশন কর্তৃপক্ষ। এর জন্য আগে থেকে ট্রাকে করে এসব মৌসুমি ফল নিয়ে এসে মজুদ করা হয় দেশের পাইকারী  ফল বিক্রেতা প্রতিষ্ঠান থেকে। সপ্তাহে জুমার দিন বিতরণ করা হয় ফল। 

ফল বিতরণ কার্যক্রমে উপস্থিত ছিলেন জেআর রেসিডেন্স এন্ড ইউনুচ গ্রুপের চেয়ারম্যান আলহাজ জসিম উদ্দিন ফাউন্ডেশনের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা দানবীর আলহাজ মোহাম্মদ জসিম উদ্দিন, ফাউন্ডেশনের পরিচালক বিশিষ্ট ব্যবসায়ী মোক্তার আহমেদ, চট্টগ্রাম উত্তর জেলা বিএনপির সাবেক শিক্ষা বিষয়ক সম্পাদক মোহাম্মদ হাবিব উল্লাহ মাস্টার, আলহাজ ইয়াছিনুল হক, আলহাজ ফারুক-ই আজম, প্রবাসী মুহাম্মদ রুবেল হোসেন, মেঘনা ব্যাংক শাখা ব্যবস্থাপক মোহাম্মদ বেলাল, সাংবাদিক এস.এস ইউসুফ উদ্দিন প্রমুখ।

At the initiative of Alhaj Jasim Uddin Foundation, a voluntary and humanitarian organization in Raojan, Chittagong, seasonal fruits such as lychees were distributed among the Muslims at the Taqwa Jame Mosque, established with the funding of this foundation in Sammahaldar Para of Noapara Union, today, Friday, after the Friday prayers. Each Muslim was given 50 lychees in a single packet. Before this, jackfruit and pineapple were given after the Friday prayers.

The respected founder and chairman of Alhaj Jasim Uddin Foundation, Alhaj Jasim Uddin Sahib, chairman of JR Residence and Yunuch Group, an expatriate businessman from the United Arab Emirates, has been taking this initiative to distribute seasonal fruits among the Muslims for the past month. Every Friday, seasonal fruits are being distributed regularly from his foundation on the Taqwa Mosque grounds.

Many people cannot buy and eat seasonal fruits. Therefore, the foundation authorities said that Jasim Uddin Sahib took this initiative with his own funding from the Foundation. For this, these seasonal fruits are brought in advance by trucks and stored from the country's wholesale fruit selling companies. The fruits are distributed on Fridays every week.

The fruit distribution program was attended by Alhaj Mohammad Jasim Uddin, chairman of JR Residence and Youth Group, founder of Alhaj Jasim Uddin Foundation, philanthropist Alhaj Mohammad Jasim Uddin, director of the foundation, prominent businessman Moktar Ahmed, former education affairs secretary of Chittagong North District BNP Mohammad Habib Ullah Master, Alhaj Yasinul Haque, Alhaj Faruk-e Azam, expatriate Muhammad Rubel Hossain, Meghna Bank branch manager Mohammad Belal, journalist S.S. Yusuf Uddin, among others.
